Your body language shapes who you are

The Video I watched was called Your body language shapes who you are by Amy Cuddy a social psychologist, and the video talked about how can body language can effect you and your personality. The reason i choose this video is because body language interest me for the surprisingly results they have, although i don't know much about body language or about psychology, yet i enjoy it a lot.
The video was approximately 20 minutes long but to me it felt like 1 minute. i'm going to have a hard time summarizing the video for everything i heard and saw in the video was important. The first thing that she mentioned was a small body tweak that we should try, yet she didn't say what it's going to do and why until later in the video, and that tweak was to change the poster for two minutes. As an introduction she said that she's interested in other people's body language, and how bodies communicate with each other, and how people's body language effect their life.
One significant expression that she talked about that everyone do it even animals do the same thing  from the beginning of time is that is when feeling powerful or having power humans expand and animals do the same thing, and when feeling powerless we tend to close up and we wrap our self up and make our self small and try to avoid pumping into other people. When someone  is being powerful with us we tend to do the opposite, we mirror them. According to what she noticed while teaching is that some people come to class early and occupy a large space and try to expand while others comes on time and sit by their own closed up, and when they participate the first kind of students tent to raise their hand high and a lot  while the second type raise it low and not quite as much. Another thing she noticed is that it's kind of related to gender,

My beautiful journey during 2014 Spring Break...

Each semester we have a break for us to relax and get away from the school atmosphere in order to start fresh after the break. This semester it was the spring break, in the past the spring break used to be called the Easter break and it's a Christian festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion at Calvary. But recently the US Separated the religious holidays from the school holidays, so now we have the spring break in a diffident time than Easter. For the spring break of 2014 I had a very busy schedule waiting for me. I had my plans ready few weeks before the break, starting by buying my ticket to SoCal Swordfight 2014 located at Huntington beach, CA which is the biggest event in the HEMA  Alliance and it's mainly about historical European martial arts and trainers from all around the world planned to attend this event. This event took three full days from 9:00 am till 9:00 pm but i had to wake up around 6:30 for i had to take a 2 hour bus to the event's location and another 2 hour bus after the event back to my apartment. But it was worth it i enjoyed every second of every moment i had. But that wasn't all of my break it was only the first 3 days of the break, after this spectacular event i hanged out with my friends for exactly two days where we played some card games together and went to some fun places such as sky zone and laser quest and we went the movie theater together it was fun to just relax and play with my friends. The third part of my spring break took place far away from fullerton and orange county, me and my friends rented a car and my friends had a car too so the six of us took off to Arizona, Tempe in two cars with 3 in each car, it was a fun road trip. when we arrived there around 11:00 pm the first thing we did is to go to our friends there and say hi to them, then they helped us find a hotel to stay in. After a long search we finally found a hotel that have an empty room for us to spend the night in, after we booked the room we went t eat dinner at around 2:00 am after dinner we went straight to bed exhausting from the trip we all fall asleep at the moment. the next day we woke up late in the afternoon around 2:30 pm for we were tired of the trip, so we decided to wonder around the city to explore the place and have an idea of what we should do. so after a long day of pretty much just wondering around we went back to the hotel and plan our second day there, the plan was to go to the Grand Canyon, the next day we woke up early in the morning and we washed up and soon after we ate breakfast we took off to the Grand Canyon it was a 3 hour trip, yet we didn't feel it pass by. After we arrived to the Grand Canyon we welled along it and took some pictures and went hiking there after we finished hiking the night started to fall so we headed back to the cars and went to eat after we ate we headed straight back home the back trip took more than it should because there was a big accident in the middle of the road but eventually we arrived home. The first thing we did after we arrived home is to plan the last day of our trip, so we planned a very tight and busy schedule. The third day started by us waking up little bit late than the schedule but it was ok, after we woke up and wash up and all we went to the Arizona Science Center, where we had fun playing with scientific stuff. After that we went to an Italian restaurant for lunch where each of us enjoyed a nice Italian meal,as soon as we finished lunch we went to a mall called Fashion Squire where we hung out for the afternoon, and right around 6:30 pm we headed out for a nice ice-skating ring where we planed on meeting our friend from Arizona there. It was fun to ice skate there with my friends. As so as the round finished each of us got into a car and we headed to Airworx which is a trampoline park where we jumped and did flips and twist and other moves too. When we finished from that we headed to a nice Lebanese restaurant for dinner. After dinner we went back to the hotel right around 12:00 am and we all slept immediately not only because we were tired but also because we had a long day in the street of ahead us. The next day came so we woke up early and packed our luggage and stuffed it in the car after that we went to eat breakfast preparing for the long trip. After breakfast we road in the car headed back home.that was the end of my break...

Jack the Tomb Raider

One upon a time
there was was a jobless tomb raider  living in new York city and his name was jack
while he was barley making rent by his temporary job at Starbucks
a strange looking man approach him and hands him a case and said,"your mission if you choose to accept it is to go to Yamati island  in Japan where there is a tomb contains a great treasure, there will be a team waiting for you when you arrive there which will guide you to the tomb only it's your mission to inspect the tomb searching for the missing treasure of Emperor Jimmu."
Since our tomb raider "Jack" was pretty much broke and was desperate for a job, he accepted the mission handed to him immediately. The strange man then handed him a flight ticket and said you'll leave tomorrow at daybreak a car will escort you to the airport.
As soon as the strange man left Jack took off from work bicycling his way home, the moment he arrived to his apartment he started packing and preparing for his adventure, it was 8 in the evening, so he decided to go to sleep early in order to wake up in time for his ride.
the next day the car was parked in front of his building and as soon as he got in the driver hurried to the airport, when he arrived to the airport Jack got on the plane to took off to Yamati island, Japan.
The moment he arrived the local team was waiting for him accompanied by an american translator named Amanda to assist him to communicate with them, they as planned guided him to the tomb it was a long way but luckily Jack had Amanda to talk to, at first Amanda was too strict with her job and tried to act professional but after couple of weeks she kinda fall for Jack, so after one month of walking inside the wild jungle of the island. They finally reached the tomb, so as was planned the local team left Jack alone, yet unexpectedly Amanda couldn't leave Jack go alone into the tomb, so she insisted on accompany him. At first Jack didn't allow her, but since Amanda is pretty stubborn and there was no way Jack could convince her to do so he finally let her come with him.
The tomb was horrifying but Jack had to show that he wasn't scared to prove his strength in front of Amanda, but the tomb was too horrifying for anyone, there was skulls and skeleton everywhere and the smell was so bad, in addition to that the tomb had some puzzles and some sort of ancient protection system, that made thing worse. Luckily Jack brought some equipment with him to assist him, finally after a long walk and getting by hard-solving puzzles and 3 near death experience Jack and Amanda made it to where the treasure was hidden, as expected there was one last puzzle they had to solve, according to what Jack read that if they failed this puzzle death shall fall on them. Jack was frustrated by this puzzle for it was too difficult, Jack had to take his chances and do what his instinct tells him, and so he did.
unfortunately it was the wrong answer, so he and Amanda had to run for their lives holding the treasure, good thing Jack and Amanda were fast enough to run from death for the 4th time and were able to come back with the treasure.
Not only Jack received a huge reward from the guy who hired him but hes now well know around the world, but the best thing is that he and Amanda are now engaged to each other and the wedding will be this July.

Just When I Thought I'd Carry This To My Grave!

When i think of a time i got in trouble as a child a lot of stories jumps into my head therefore you can infer that i wasn't the best son that everyone wanted me to be, but i guess it's normal for a kid to be like this. However the story I'm about to tell takes place in my beloved house which is located in my home country Kuwait, and before i begin my story i'd like to clear up some stuff so you'll understand the situation perfectly, first my dad is a very religious man and so is my mom like the most of the adults in my family, which a good thing, but to a teenager obeying all of our religion rules is kinda impossible yet some people managed to do it but not me, i liked exploring new thing and didn't care about anyones opinion i was and i probably still stubborn, which means if i wanted  to do something there  is no one that could stand in my way, which is a bad thing i know but i keep doing it unintentionally.
so lets start with my story, as you may already know i like music a lot like a lot, but my parents don't they consider it a sin and so is my religion so to them every time i listen to a song it's a sin and when they catch me doing it i get a religious lecture from them, but after a while they got kinda used to me listing to music, but thats not what the whole story is about, after they got used to it. I for no specific reason decided to buy a guitar and i knew that my parents would never ever let me buy one no matter what i say, then i remembered that they also would let me do what ever i have to do in order to get the best grade possible in school. So i took advantage of that fact and told them that i needed  a guitar for school and that i will fail the subject if i didn't get one and that i won't use it it'll be just for show and that i told my friend to give me one, so after a long talk with them that lasted for days they finally agreed to let me do it, so i went with my friend to a guitar shop and from my saving money i bought a guitar (there was no friend to give me a guitar) and then got back home with my new guitar. Of course i couldn't use it at home so i took it to school and practiced it during breaks and unimportant periods. and on the weekends i took it and went around the block to the neighborhood's walk and played it each morning from 5 to 7 am and i continued on that routine for a whole year, and the next year i couldn't pull the same lie again because "music" was an elective subject that i can take just for one year so i had to put the guitar away in my closet and till this day it's in my closet waiting for someone to pick it up.
And the best thing is that my parents didn't suspect anything about me playing the guitar and never found out, guess i was very careful with my Schemes.

My Humble Comment On Some Sayings...

"Skillful sailors aren't made by smooth seas"
This is one of the Proverbs that i can not disagree with, when you see a very skillful person or athlete you might think that this guy is gifted and he didn't work and train hard to be this skillful, but you are wrong every champion had to train so hard beyond your imagination, and they had to sacrifice a lot of things to get to where they're now, for example the well known martial art icon Bruce Lee did not take pills to build up his muscles nor did he lift up heavy weights to be strong, in other words he didn't take the easy road to be strong, he toke the hard way, so he did a lot of push ups, sit ups and so to be this good, in addition he mastered two martial arts (kung-fu and karate), from that example we learned that taking the easy road won't take you no where, therefore if wan to do something we have to take the hard way because that's what is good for us.

"Never promise a fish until it's caught."

This proverb is actually one of my favorite, because it help a lot and what it means is don't promos to give someone something you don't have, because you don't know if gull get it or not, for example you promised a friend to get him the concert tickets that he wants but when you went to buy then they sold out what do you tell your friend now? Didn't you promise him, your friend might forgive you but what will happen if it was a stranger or a girl you like, she will never believe you anymore.

"Rome wasn't built in a day."

When i read this proverb i got inspired, and what it means is that in building something great needs a long time to be done, like when Rome was built all this amazing stuff wasn't built in one day it took years and years of hard work until it reached this amazing result that a lot of people go to rome to see, and that implies on everything if you want something as great as the structure of Rome you'll have to work harder that ever and put in your mind this famous saying "the only easy day was yesterday."

Who's Husain Alhabashi Anyway, Ew?

Getting to know me is not that easy to do, not because i'm a complected person or anything, not only because getting to know somebody is a hard thing to do, but because everyone looks at me in a different way.
To start this long journey i'm going to begin by saying my full name and way I got it, my name is HUSAIN SALH ALHABASHI, my parents choose this name for me because of three things first because it's the name of the prophet's grandson, secondly because the prophet's grandson is an outstanding Islamic figure, and thirdly because no one in my family has the name Husain so it'll be kinda unique, there might be other reasons but that's what i know, after i gave you a history lesson about my name i should probably mention some stuff that i'm passionate about, first of all i'm the biggest fan of Taylor Swift you'll ever meet, secondly i'm basically a nerd i like comic books, superheros, video games, cosplay conventions, i spend a lot of time on the computer, i don't like to party. so pretty much what you expect when you hear the word "nerd". Another thing that inspires me a lot is listening to music & meaningful songs , as a very wise women once said:                                                                                          “People haven't always been there for me but music always has.” ― Taylor Swift
And personally I think this quote is very accurate to me, another thing about myself is that i'm sure of is that i like to do and say whatever i want and i don't care what anyone says about me as they say "Haters Gonna Hate", and the last fact I'll mention about myself is that i'm an MMA player i work out 5 times a week, so basically don't mess with me, JK, don't worry i'm a peaceful person i don't like violence and i don't believe that it could solve anything, i only take the MMA class for self-defense.
Now i should probably tell you a little about my dreams and goals in this life, I thought about coming to the US to study since i was a little boy and made it my life goal to come here and study and that what gave me the enough motivation to pass school with a decent percentage in order to earn a scholarship and come to the US, but unfortunately not all my dreams came true when i came here, When i dreamed about studying here i wanted to study medicine here but unfortunately my percentage wasn't good enough to compete with other students for the medicine chairs the Kuwaiti government grant us, luckily i was good enough to earn a scholarship in mechanical engineering, and hopefully I'll be able to pass my bachelors and return to my country proudly.
